Table legs with traditional joinery
A key figure of events: a portable display fixture for exhibitions made of chestnut trees from Hida utilizing kumiki (traditional joinery) technique.
The fixture designed by Battanation Co., Ltd. (Iwasawa brothers), and manufactured by Hida woodworker Taketo Suzuki, can hand and display a tapestry with a logo or other items printed on. Wheels on the legs make the fixture highly movable. The legs are made of broadleaf trees from Hida (tree species) and they can be taken apart by the kumiki technique, so that the fixture can be easily carried in a compact form. The fixture would be a behind-the-scene key component to support events, while travelling worldwide.
