Halved and simplified Kama for wider range of usages

Ryakukama (simplified mortise and tenon joint) is said to be named after the shape of Kama (sickle) divided into two equal pieces. It also could be described as a halved joint with a catch. Ryakukama itself is not strong enough to be used for structural members. However, the strength significantly increases when combined with Mechigai to form Okkake-tsugi, and additionally with Sen to form Kanawa-tsugi. Ryakukama can be found on the pillars of FabCafe Hida, so please look for them when you visit there.
