A supportive kumiki, which supplements other elements.

Koshikake is used as splice, away from structural underpinnings. As the name indicates (koshikake means “a stool”), two parts just sit on each other. It is used with other kumiki types in horizontal element Ari and Kama to support them. Although it is similar to Aikaki, it has a shallower notch. This kumiki is cute like a grandma “sitting at the edge of a stool”.
